  WOW!  Entourage was great last week.  In case you missed it, Vince got out of rehab, Mrs. Ari is seeing someone else, Drama is trying to protect his "Big Bro", Eric is no longer engaged to Sloan, AND Vinces' house burned down.  Like Vince said, "Time for new beginnings".

WEEKLY PREVIEW: True Blood S8 E6 "I Wish I Was The Moon"

  True Blood is doing a really good job this season.  They really disapointed me at the end of last season and I vowed that if this season wasn't that good; I was done.  However to my delightment, it has been really good and even possiably the best season so far!  So kudos to Alan Ball (creator of True Blood).  

 After last week's episode who knows what is going to happen to the characters from Bon Tempt. What's going to happen to Sam's brother?  Has Bill finally had it with Eric?  Is Darlene's baby really possessed by her now dead ex husband?  Is Sookie going to be annoying as ever?  Well, the later we can almost gurantee.

  "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has been on a roll this season.  LD is funnier than ever this season and I can't wait to see when he finally gets to NYC. 
  After a new season of Curb airs LD is always stating that he is done with the show; however he always winds up coming back to do another season.  This year is a little different. 
  HBO is reporting that this years season of Curb Your Enthusiasm has the highest amount of viewers in the history of the show! 
  Whether it's the lead-in from True Blood or just because this season has viewers crying from laughter, we can only hope for an additional season.  Here is this weeks synopsis and trailer:

"God Bless Ozzy Osbourne"

  Ozzy Osbourne is finally making his way to the big screen.  In case you haven't heard, Ozzy's son Jack Osbourne has been spending the past couple years following his father around with cameras.   
  With the film that he has collected, he will be releasing "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne" in theaters. The film will take a candid point of view in to the life of the Madman.  The film will be released in theaters across the country on Weds. August 24th and Monday August 29th. The film debuted earlier this year (April) at the Tribecan Film Festival.  The film will only be for one night only so make sure to check it out.

  Pennsylvania Christan Metalcore band August Burns Red have released a new music video. 
  The song "Internal Cannon" comes off their latest effort "Leveler".  Leveler (which was released June 21st, 2011) quickly sold 29,000 copies during its first week of release which in turn landed them the #11 spot on the Billboard Top 200 for that week. 

  You can catch August Burns Red currently on Vans Warped Tour this summer.  Check out the dates (along with which bands play each date) and the video after the break.

  A couple weeks ago we reported on the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises.  The film is currently filming in Pittsburgh, PA.  In the trailer, you can see a short glimpse of what Christopher Nolan's depcition of Bane is flashed across your screen. 
  In case it is to fast for you to get a good look, Warner Brothers has released a picture of Tom Hardy looking away from the camera in his Bane costume.

  Worcester, MA metalcore outfit Bury Your Dead has released their video for their song Slaughterhouse Five.  Slaughterhouse Five comes from their new record entitled: Mosh N Roll.  Mosh N' Roll comes out on August 2nd. 
  Mosh & Roll is the outfits first record on Mediaskare Records.  The record also reunites the band with old singer Mat Bruso.  Mat Bruso recently stated to dyingscene.com that missing shows is one of the main reasons he is back with the band: "Yeah, I just missed shows. The opportunity presented itself for me to come back, so I took it. The kids have been unbelievable. “Color of Money” takes 8 years off my life every time we play it, and the pile-on at the end of every night is as intense and scary as I remember."  Check out Bury Your Dead on tour this summer.  You can see their tour dates and their new music video after the jump.

    Lucasfilm announced today that Red Tails will be released by 20th Century Fox on January 20, 2012. The first trailer can be seen at the end of the article.  A high-flying action epic inspired by the heroic exploits of the first all African-American aerial combat unit, Red Tails is produced by Rick McCallum and Charles Floyd Johnson and directed by Anthony Hemingway ("Treme," "The Wire," "Battlestar Galactica").

What A Week To Be A Philly Sports Fan

   If one word could describe this week as a Philadelphia sports fan it would be, "WOW!".  Between the Phillies and the Eagles, Philadelphia fans are ecstatic about the players their teams picked up and they have every right to be.  Could 2011 be the year that both the Phillies and the Eagles win it all for the first time in Philadelphia history?  Get pumped because the remainder of 2011 (and into 2012 hopefully) will be an exciting year for Philadelphia sports fans.

WEEKLY PREVIEW: Entourage The Final Season Begins Tonight

  TV Shows barely last two seasons these days.  The fact that Entourage has made it through eight season is amazing.  The final season begins tonight.  With rumors circulating that good ol' Marky Mark and company have plans to film a movie for the HBO series; will the guys really be calling it an end? 
  When we last saw the guys, Vince was starting to get heavy into drugs and particularly cocaine.  At the end of last season, Vince went to Eminem's CD Release Party and winded up getting in a fight with Eminem's bodyguards (basically Eminem sucker punched Vince and then ran away and let his security deal with it).  As we see him beat up in the hospital trying to walk out on everyone a cop stops him down the hall and asks him, "Hey Vince, what is this?".  The officer is holding a bag of cocaine and as Vince looks back at all the guys, the credits roll.

WEEKLY PREVIEW: True Blood

  True Blood has definitely been kicking ass this season.  I don't think anyone can argue the fact that this season is a lot better than last season.  True Blood airs Sunday nights at 9pm on HBO. VIDEO: The Amazing Spider Man Teaser

  Spidey is back! Opening in 3D and 2D theaters on July 3rd, 2012, "The Amazing Spider-Man" stars Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Spiderman and the hot Emma Stone (Superbad) as his love Gwen Stacy. 
  "The Amazing Spider-Man" is being directed by Marc Webb.  Marc Webb has only directed one feature length film before (500 Days of Summer).  This may worry some with a unknown director taking on this big of a project, the rest of the cast may make up for that fact. 
  The film also stars Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill), Campbell Scott (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Singles), Irrfan Khan (Slumdog Millionaire), Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now, The Departed, The West Wing), Sally Field (Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire) and one of the best comedians ever Denis Leary (Rescue Me, The Sandlot, Ice Age and the singer/writer of the infamous song I'm An Asshole).  Check out the teaser trailer below:

  The greatest film saga known to man is finally coming to blu ray.  After speculation for years, "Star Wars: The Complete Saga" will be released on Blu Ray on September 16th.  The set will include a ton of extras.

  Ladies and Gentleman.....Boys and Girls.... Cornholios All Over The World.... are you ready for some tp for your bunghole?  14 years after we said goodbye to what I think is one of the funniest shows ever... it is back and funnier than ever.  Beavis and Butthead is coming back to MTV this year.  No exact release date has been set however at the infamous Comic Con Festival that is being held in San Diego this clip of the new season was shown.  Get prepared to laugh your ass off and check it out below:

VIDEO: The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

  There is finally a teaser trailer released for Christopher Nolan's last film in his Batman series.  The Dark Knight Rises trailer has been officially released after the past week of bootlegs being released of the trailer.  The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. 
  Also starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Cane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, and Liam Neeson (supposidly coming back as Ra's Al Ghul) The Dark Knight Rises will be in theaters on July 20th 2012 (that is if it doesn't get pushed back which it most likely will).  You can check out the teaser trailer with flashes of Tom Hardy as Bane below.

VIDEO: Boardwalk Empire is BACK!

    Boardwalk Empire is coming back!!!! The Season 2 premiere of the HBO original series is set to air sometime in September.  My guess is it will take True Blood's spot at the end of their season.  God I can't wait for this series to come back on the air.  This is probably one of if not the best series on television (and no that isn't because I'm from AC).  Check out the trailer below and get psyched! VIDEO: Dexter Is Back

 



  Michael C. Hall is returning as the serial killer Dexter in the sixth season of the Showtime series.  Not much is known about the upcoming season, however, we do know that this season will have some new comers to the cast.  This season you can say hello to Edward James Olmos, Colin Hanks, Billy Brown, Brea Grant and Mos Def.  No actual premiere date has been released but Showtime has stated that it will be released this fall.  You can check out the new teaser of the sixth season below.

Caliban Going Into Studio and Covers EP

  German metalcore act Caliban are currently writing a new album.  Currently, they have plans to go into the studio in Mid August.  There is no release date or album title at this time. 

  However, they did release a 4 song cover songs EP.  Entitled "Coverfield", the band covers Type O' Negative, Rammstein, The Beatles and an awesome cover of At The Gates.  Check out the cover art, tracklisting, and the At The Gates cover after the jump.

Unearth's First Week Record Sales



  Metalcore act Unearth have released their fifth studio album (not including their EP's) entitled "Darkness In The Light".  The record debuted on the Billboard Music Charts at number 72 with record sales reaching 6,400 within the first week. 

  I must say, this new record is really good.  Look for review of it coming up within the next couple weeks.  If you haven't heard it, pick it up at your local music store.  Darkness In The Light will not disapoint; espcially if you are a fan of some good hard metal.  You can check them out on tour this summer alongside Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeth, Machine Head, In Flames, Trivium Suicide Silence and more.  Check out below to see when they will all be in your town.

VIDEO: The Acacia Strain: The Impaler

Metalcore act The Acacia Strain (click link for myspace profile) has released a new video from their last record. The track ("The Impaler") comes from their 2010 best selling record to-date "Wormwood". "Wormwood" debuted at number 67 on the Bilboard Music Charts with 6,000 records sold within the first week. VIDEO: New Big 4 Jam

    In case you haven't heard Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax have been touring together playing select dates all over the world for the past year.  On the DVD that was released last holiday season, all 4 of the bands got together to jam on "Am I Evil".
  Well a couple days ago in Milan, Italy they played another show together and at the end got together on stage for another jam.  Except this time they covered the Misfits classic Die Die Die My Darlin'.  Check out the video after the jump.

  A new Breaking Bad trailer has been released.  The new season kicks off Sunday July 17th on AMC.  Check out the trailer after the jump.  It shows where we are at right now in the show and what you can expect in the upcoming season.

Sons of Anarchy Teaser Trailer and Poster

  Sons of Anarchy is coming back to FX this September for Season 4.  Not much has been stated about the next season.  However, it has been released that next season will take place after SAMCRO is released from prison.  Check out the teaser trailer for Season 4 after the break.

The King Is Back!

 THE KING IS BACK!  No... not Elvis... but the King of Mississippi... Russell Edgington.  If you are a fan of True Blood then this is some great news.  According to Dennis O'Hare (who play Russell Edgington in Season 3) we will see a return from the king in Season 5.  Could this possiably mean that we will see a surprise appearance of Russell by the end of Season 4?  We will have to wait and see.  True Blood airs sunday nights at 9pm on HBO.

Duh... Roasted.

 

  Comedy Central  has just announced it's next roast.... "The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen".  A good sign of things to come is the comment that Comedy Central's head of programming had to say about the roast:

    “Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us… Even I’ll admit, this should provide some jaw-droppers, I can’t wait to see who is on the dais.”

  This roast definitely has the potential to be amazing. However, Comedy Central better do it right.  I am a little skeptical judging by their last bomb "The Roast of Donald Trump".  Let's just pray that The Situation doesn't try to show up.

James Spader in Season 8 of "The Office"?

  It has just been released that after doing a great job in the the season 7 finale of "The Office", James Spader will be returning next season.  However, he will not be taking over Michael Scott's (Steve Carrell's) position.  So who will?  That question is still unanswered. 
  Spader played the fan-favorite psychological manipulator Robert California in the ending of last season.  After not getting the position, he will now be playing the CEO of Dunder Mifflin's parent company, "Sabre".
